Marcell's hamstring injury a setback for Bulls plans

Any talk about Ulster’s Springbok Marcell moving to the Bulls before the Rainbow Cup before the PRO 16, which follows shortly after, will have to be put on hold.

The former Sharks flanker, also used as No 8 by Ulster, has been ruled out of the Irish province’s Challenge Cup meeting with Harlequins on Sunday.

Coetzee, who seemingly has overcome his knee problem that kept him out of action for nearly two years, has been struggling with a hamstring injury sustained in the March 6 Pro14 defeat to Leinster.

Ulster has now confirmed he will not be fit for Sunday’s game at Twickenham Stoop.

Coetzee, who will join South African side the Bulls later this year, is set to be out of action ‘for a number of weeks.’
