It is not only the financial injection that has brought about the unequalled fullhouse of rugby titles in Pretoria.
The management team at Loftus, carefully picked and with the object of success and teamwork in mind, must be complemented with the achievement that all the major trophies to be won in South African rugby are currently in Pretoria.
And they are all in the showcase of the Bulls and Blue Bulls, with the exception of one, the Varsity Cup, that was won by UP-Tuks in their final against the Ikeys on Monday night.
▲ The titles won by the Bulls, unbeaten in their last 13 outings at Loftus, are the Currie Cup, the Super Rugby Unlocked trophy, and the trophies for the two winners of South Africa’s U19 and U2 competitions.
Add the Varsity Cup, and all seems well in South Africa’s capital!
▲ There is, of course – and that is everything but a Bulls certainty – still the Rainbow Cup champion that will be decided on 19 June.
Before that the Bulls have to beat either the Sharks or the Stormers in their remaining two matches to become the winner of the Rainbow Cup SA and with it the right to play in the final against the Rainbow Cup Europe winner.
