Cipriani 'dropped' from squad to specialise on strength and conditioning

Controversial, brilliant but mostly unwanted flyhalf Danny Cipriani has again been left out of the England World Cup training squad for their camp in Bristol next week.

But remains part of the squad and has been released to specialise on strength and conditioning work. Bath duo Sam Underhill and Anthony Watson will also be doing extra fitness work.

Eddie Jones will nevertheless have 40 players to work with after he added Mike brown, Alex Dombrandt, Marcus Smith, Tom Dunn and Ollie Thorley added to the training squad named earlier this month.

"We want to keep the squad fresh and alive which is important and we want to make sure there is a little bit of cooperative competition for selection and edge around," said Jones.
