Both the Stormers and Crusaders have made several changes for their match at Newlands on Saturday.
The Stormers side include three Springboks who return after their rest periods, i.e. Siya Kolisi and co-flanker Pieter-Steph du Toit as well as centre Damian de Allende
The Stormers will also have Joshua Stander as flyhalf while De Allende takes his place in midfield. Jean-Luc du Plessis and Dan Kriel, who make way for Stander and de Allende, are on the bench.
The Springboks flankers Kolisi and Du Toit have Jaco Coetzee as their third loosie. Cobus Wiese starts in the second row next to Eben Etzebeth due to the injury of JD Schickerling. In the front row the experienced Frans Malherbe comes onto the bench.
♦ The visitors from Christchurch have kept the backline intact that overran the Bulls last weekend for their clash against the Stormers on Saturday.
The three changes to their starting side are therefore all in the pack, with Sam Whitelock returning to lead the team – a job Matt Todd has fulfilled admirably in Whitelock’s absence. (Crusaders also have All Backs captain Kieran Read in their side.)
Ethan Blackadder is at flank in the place of Jordan Tafua who moves to the bench and George Bower replaces loosehead Joe Moody who gets a rest for the Stormers match.
