Bulls captain Handré Pollard is on his way back to New Zealand and will play in what is a crucial match for his team against the Highlanders on Friday.
The news, important to the Bulls play-off hopes, was conveyed by the Blue Bull president Willem Strauss in a tweet on Sunday afternoon. The Bulls last win in New Zealand was in 2013.
Pollard (photo GB Jordaan) returned to South Africa 12 days ago after the match against the Rebels which the Bulls won but pulled a calk muscle during training before the Brumbies clash.
He has apparently recovered sufficiently to play in the match at the Forsyth Barr Stadium in Dunedin on Friday (kick-off 09:35).
The Bulls have been pushed to third place on the SA Conference log after their draw against the Blues on Friday and the two wins by the Jaguares and the Lions on Saturday.
