The Springbok No 8, Duane Vermeulen who is so influential in the Bulls team, will be ready to face the Sharks at Kings Park on Saturday.
Bulls team doctor Herman Rossouw on Monday said that Vermeulen would be training with the Bulls after what looked like a serious knee injury when he left the field early in the first half against the Chiefs on Saturday.
Replacement prop Dayan van der Westhuizen’s knee, however, is not looking good. Rossouw said on Monday afternoon that they are awaiting news on the scans taken earlier in the day.
More good news for the Bulls is that wing Johnny Kotze is back and can be considered for selection, and that Springbok lock RG Snyman has started unit training. He will be closely monitored and hopefully will be part of the team by next week, according to the doctor.
