Beast is back, but Sharks without injured Curwin

Two enforced injury changes and the return from injury of Beast Mtawarira is what Sharks coach Robert du Preez came up with for what is a must-win match against the Stormers at Newlands on Saturday.

Mtawarira, most capped South African player in Super Rugby, takes over from Mzamo Majola in the front row, with Majola dropping to the bench.
An injury to lock Ruan Botha gives Ruben van Heerden another chance in the starting line-up.

The biggest loss to the Sharks is undoubtedly the ankle injury that Curwin Bosch picked up in the team’s hiding against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires last week.

Bosch, who was selected as fullback for that match, is replaced by Aphelele Fassi.

Luckless Craig Burden, in his few minutes on the park last weekend, tweaked his hamstring and Cullen Collopy comes into his place on the bench. Gideon Koegelenberg provides lock cover on the bench and Rhyno Smith is on the bench as a utility back substitute.
