Odendaal injured, and the Bulls now have four backline Blitzboks

The Bulls, already without their injured Springbok outside centre Jessie Kriel and wing Jade Stighling, have suffered another setback when Kriel’s inside centre partner Burger Odendaal (photo GB Jordaan) was withdrawn from the team to face the Waratahs on Saturday.

Odendaal has an eye injury.

He will be replaced by last year's Blitzbok of the year Dylan Sage, who joins former sevens internationals Warrick Gelant, Cornal Hendriks and Rosko Specman in the Bulls backline.

The selections means that the whole threequater-line of the Bulls is changed from the one that did duty in the defeat against the Stormers last weekend.

The Bulls, who are currently fifth on the overall standing in the competition and second in the South African conference with two matches in hand behind SA leaders Sharks, are expected to make up some of the log-leeway against the Waratahs (kick-off 15:05).
